Brad was asked to speak at Winnipegs Pawsitively Wild Pet Show on Saturday September 12th. Over 400 hundred people heard him speak during his 2 engagements and with the success of the show, we hope to return next year. Any information will be posted on the site or through www.pawsitivelywild.com.

The BC SPCA has created summer day camps for children ages 8-12. Within this week long camp, the campers are exposed to different animal environments, learning about pet care, animal welfare issues, wildlife, farm animals and animal facts. This leaves them with further knowledge and respect for the animals in our and their lives, with the hopes that they will be able to set forth a positive step in their future with the many challenges we face today.

We were excited and proud to be part of the Kelowna branch’s Summer camp itinerary.

This summer, over 60 children visited our Hustle Up Training facility, where they got to see and learn about a variety of dog and coyote remains, learn first hand through our volunteer dogs, Rudy, Bisco and Heiniken, about dog behavior and of course fun filled facts and information.

A special thank you to Melissa, Nadine and Sheri, the camp leaders, who brought all the kids to the school.

Paws for A Cause - In BC, this is the SPCA’s  largest fundraising and awareness campaign event where pledges go towards shelter for homeless, neglected and abused animals in the community. This year’s event will take place in several BC communities over the September 12/13 weekend. We had some of our 6Legs to Fitness™ team - Melissa MacFarlane of Calgary, and Kevin Pattison of Salmon Arm warming up the people and doggies prior to the long walk.
