Shantel's Profile Animals have always been my passion…and my first dog Brandy would have agreed to that; we were inseparable! She would let me dress her up, put her in doll strollers, tug at her, roll on her, whatever I wanted to do, she was more than willing to let me and enjoyed every minute of it! Not only have dogs been an integral part of my life, but I also volunteered with the Animal Care division of the Calgary Zoo for three years. This opportunity enabled me to watch exotic animals interact, study their behavior and work with them up close. The knowledge and experience that I gained was incredible and the impact that my animal friends made is everlasting. The zoo animals helped me realize how true it is that a bond must be created through trust and respect, before you can accomplish anything with an animal, especially one that is behind bars and cannot be physically controlled.   My motivation is simple, I love what I do and am here to make a difference. I truly think that everyone is capable of having an amazing dog and that a lot of people have been unknowingly misinformed about how to achieve that. Training takes patience and dedication, and with the proper tools and determination both you and your dog will see that learning can be fun, rewarding and successful!   Shantel
