I could hear it.

I have got in the habit of using the word "Here" the reason being that I used to throw ducks for competitions and all of the owners would call out" Here!", when calling their dogs, I think that you can yell it louder, the command word will travel farther and the word sounds more distinct than all the other words that she knows.
And I can also here the video just fine.

my chow does not come at all regardless of the body language, any suggestions?

I put my speakers to their highest setting and could barely hear the audio too.

I'm going to try this attempt at non verbal come, because my female isn't responding verball.

I find that now I rarely use the word 'come'. If we're at the park I either say "let's go" or I just start walking towards the gate. If I'm in a larger area, the same works or I turn around and start in another direction. I tried it the other day, she was away off from me and I turned my back on her, didn't move though and I looked over my shoulder and she was coming full tilt to me.

I found too that alot of people who have problems calling their dog, as soon as the dog comes, they put the leash on and leave..a few times like that and the dog figures, hey that's no fun. Now I just call her for the sake of it, give her a pat, wrestle a little, whatever and let her go again. If she's being a bit slow, she realizes that if I add NOW to anything, it means get your furry little butt over here.

'Come' is one of our battles.. and Drop it.. and Leave it.. and jumping up lol..

I've tried Brad's open arm technique with inconsistent success. It depends on the level of Jessie's excitability and distraction. It's a constant battle - to make her 'Come' command more interesting than what is distracting her is difficult. It's either me, or the great smelly thing in the bushes or that cute Shepherd way over there LOL! But, same as you Patty, the only technique I've found that almost always works is, the moment I have Jessie's attention, even if it's for a split second, I'll say, 'Jessie Come' and will jog in the opposite direction. She'll always follow when I do this... but wish I didn't have to run for her to do it lol...

There was a 'Good Dog' episode where a woman with a black Lab had trouble getting her dog to 'Come' when called. Stanley suggested that she use another word, like 'Here', and say it in a more, 'sing song' way. 'Come' sounded too guttural, almost like a scolding or reprimand. 'Here' sounds a bit softer. I'm not sure of what research has been done on dog's aural responses to certain human tones and verbalizations, i.e., how we say the command determines how the dog will react to it, etc., and how much of a difference it makes.

Another thing that works really well with Bayley and I don't know why cause I didn't teach her this, is if I stick my arm out to the side, she comes running. Works really well if it's windy or she's quite a ways off from me and I don't feel like calling her. The next thing I want to work on is getting her to stop in front of me and sit. She tends to come run around me and then stop. I think she just gets going too fast!!

I use the command "here" as well instead of come...for some reason, we were taught both in my obedience classes (in different ways) and my dog responds better to here. I also combine both at times (come here)

Now I say this but she won't always listen....I'd say for the most part she's pretty good, and I agree that if I start walking away, she'll usually follow. I've tried crounching down and opening my arms...she'll usually run towards me and then run around me...
