So, with watching Brad's show and slowly reading his book, I am more confused than ever about this. Here's the thing, I have a small fairly hyper dog (jack russell mix) and she is now six months old. How much play time does she need in a day? We go for at least a 45 minutes walk with an off leash run of at least twenty minutes after that. Plus we play for at least an hour throughout the day at home if not more. There are days that she can get almost 4 to 5 hours worth of play/run/walk. I don't mind doing this at all and most of the play is initiated by me. But, now it is at the point where she thinks it's play time if she's awake. I mean the whole time she is awake. She bugs me and bugs me and bugs me, then cries if I don't play with her and then goes to sleep and starts it again 30 minutes later or if I move. And if I stand up, she thinks we are going outside. How much play does she actually need? Is there a way that she can learn to entertain herself? She has toys that she can access at all times but only brings them to me to play with her. I love her but man she is starting to get on my nerves with this constant need to play. Please help.
