Ottawa Seminar Posted: 7 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Just want to say that I was at the seminar today and really enjoyed it. Brad you are defenitely great, your "tell it like it is" attitude is much appreciated. The footage of the dogs interacting really brought it home for me regarding the language that dogs understand. I think that I am much better equipped to deal with my new puppy. I have had 6 dogs in my life and this is our latest addition after loosing our 16 yr old dog in September. Although I have had reasonable success, my ultimate goal has always been to walk off-leash with full and total control of my dog which I have never quite managed. I think that with Chloe this time and Brad's advise, I may finally pull it off. I got home after the seminar and put chloe on umbilical and after about half an hour, the tension had already subsided on the leah which makes me really excited to work with her. I also stopped talking to her which is weird for me, but not a problem for the dog. She still understands my body language and intentions. So bottom line, this was a really great seminar, learned more than I expected and will put all of Brad's advise and tips to good use in the future. Who knows, I may end up with more than one dog !

Thanks again Brad.
Christian L.

Hi Everyone!
The seminar today was beyond words! Brad, Daniela and Scott, that you so much for your passion for what you do, your dedication and your desire to educate people! With people such as yourselves out there, many people get the oppertunity to understand their dogs better and build stronger respect/bond with their dogs!

I have gained so much invaluble information today, things I can apply to my day to day life with Nitro, and things I can apply to my interaction with other people, from co-workers, friends to other dog owners! The seminar will allow me to build a solid foundation to move forward with!

Can't wait for tomorrow, the outdoor session will really bring out my challanges with Nitro, and allow me to correct my behaviour to allow me to be a better leader to my dog!!

See you in the morning!
Melanie & Nitro

Honestly, the footage was incredible. The entire seminar was so worthwhile. I wish it was mandatory to go to a Brad seminar before you were allowed to get a dog, THAT sure would open some eyes, no?
Thank you Brad for being so candid and forthright with your answers.
I have a whole new appreciation for my dog (she's on umbilical right now!) and I'm really excited to start implementing the tools learned today.
See you guys tomorrow at the Outdoor Training!

Hey everybody...Brad that was awesome!! Usually a seminar..I'm napping after an hour! I showed my Mom some of your stuff on Bayley when I got home...she kind of looked at me like whoa what happened Mom!!! Heheh...should be an exciting day tomorrow. I think the biggest group of dogs we've been involved in is about 15 at the park. Could someone repost the location???? I'm not an Ottawan so I can't remember the exact meeting spot..my brain is tired!

Hey all..
Just to confirm we are meeting at the Starbucks at the corner of Laurier and ElginBasically from the hotel we were at today, its up at the next intersetion about 20 paces from the hotel towards the building with the green peak roof (depending on which way you are coming from).

Parking on the street is free and unlimited on Sunday, so park anywhere on the street, there is parking along Laurier and within walking distance on Elgin.

(There are other Starbucks in the area, but this one is within eye sight of the hotel, right at the corner or Laurier Avenue and Elgin Street!)

See you all bright and early with your walking boots on!!

Melanie
