I'm glad you've finally made the switch! Congratulations!
I'm just wondering why you cut the wings off the chicken?
Chicken wings alone aren't the greatest thing to give your dog because they're too bony and there's hardly any meat on them. Not to mention the choking factor for bigger dogs, HOWEVER, when part of a whole chicken they make up part of the meal.
As for the muddy poohs, what exactly are you feeding him and when? That can help us figure out why he might still be having muddy poohs.

Dear Dr. Nathalie - I cut off the wings because the chickens were REALLY big ! I separated them into leg & breast quarters and removed the wings to add into portions from a smaller chicken .

I haven't given him any of the chicken wings alone - I guess I'll save THOSE ones for me and the BBQ!

Since Saturday we have been feeding him only chicken , except for 1 meal where I added in half a turkey wing for extra meat/bone weight. That was on Tuesday's supper.

We feed him twice a day. Morning and super. 1 chicken leg quarter in the am and 1 chicken breast quarter in the pm.
He's only gotten an occaisional Milkbone - maybe 4 only since that Saturday.
Last eve we gave him a small shank bone to chew and suck on while we watched the hockey game.

Ok - it's Saturday , day 8 of Raw !
Keymo loves the chicken. I've watched him eat every time and I've noticed there's a pattern to the way he eats it !
Licks / a bark or 2 at it / eats rhe skin, the the main part and leaves the drumstick for last. I was concerned at first when the whole thing would disappear into his mouth until I heard all the chmoping ! He really chews all the bone, etc. so I'm not worried. Talk about powerfull teeth and jaws !

His poos for the last 2 days have been MUCH better ! Not as much quantity and no smell !
I'm dooing a "poo roundup" in my yard today so I'm hoping to find some "white" poos ! I've tried to remember where a couple have "landed" so I do some research !

I think tonight's supper will be a pork hock !

We went to the dog park this morning and came accross a man picking up after one of his 2 Collies and WHEW ! The smell !
My hubby and I walked away and both said "kibble!"

Maybe we should start a new thread called " The Poo Chronicles" ?

Glad to see he's enjoying his raw and that the poos are better! So nice when you can go to the dog park and pick up a tiny poo instead of a huge one. The other day when I was at the park, I gave a bag to someone who ran out, his 2 dogs go like 1/2 dozen times at the park!! Bayley did one in a pile of leaves and I looked and looked and couldn't find it! I felt guilty leaving without finding it heheh the other day she was chewing on her Orbee bone..yes she eats chunks of it and the next day there were big chunks of green rubber in there, that was easy to find Now I just need to find something that would make it glow or something!

Keymo had a pork hock for supper last night.
I placed both, a pork hock and a leg chicken quarter down for him to let him choose.
He licked both, walked over to me as if saying" what's THAT?"
Then went back and picked up the pork.
It was fun to watch him. It took a lot longer eating than he's been used to. When he finally finished he never went back for the chicken so I put it back in the fridge. He'd had enough.

This morning his "business" was fine.
I'm off for my Poo Patrol in a bit. I can't wait to see if anything has turned white.

Small, strange things really CAN make a person happy eh?

I\'m beginning to wonder about the people on this forum.
Some get all excited over small white poops and another gets all giddy over a vaccuum cleaner.
Another great day here in Ontario, but I see our friends in Alberta and Saskatchewan are not too impressed this morning.
Time to go beat up on some doggies. I\'ll show them a thing or two.
