I am still having problems with my dog Heidi, she totally ignores me when i call her to come. But that is my fault! since i have slacked off with brads method of training.
I Love watching the tele shows and reading online forums.I love to play with my dog, but she does get a bit rough wanting to mouth my hands, she's now almost 2yrs old,i use a toy mostly though, this does corrected that issue.
We take her for walks twice a day but i feel she needs more activities, she loves to play with my daughters dog which is the same breed as Heidi.
I have asmtha so i can't run around with her wish i could,in all she has done wonderful since she was small, as regards some training we started with her at a young age.
But i really need to get back on tracks with her before winter starts & knuckle down on training her.

your dog is soooo cute. I know another puppy of the same breed, and he's got some problems in the obedience area, too. his owner is using a martingale collar on him, and I believe she's taking him to classes, but, I don't think she really knows how to train. I never see her practising. sadly, there is a bit of a language barrier between us, or I'd love to help her with him.
you said that you had asthma, I sympathise, because I do, too. but I think it sounds like your dog really only needs some remedial work. try doing the umbilical for a while. I have a very independant toy poodle (he's 5) who refused to come when he was called. I put him on umbillical for 2 days, and that was the end of that. when I call him now, he's right there.
is there anyone near you who might be able to walk your dog for you? mabye a teenager that you know and trust? you may have to pay for it, but the extra exercise would be good for your dog. it would help her to calm down.
are there any dog parks in your area where you could take her where she could make some doggy frineds and play with them? you wouldn't have to run around madly, assuming you can correct her tendancy to ignore you when you call her to you. she could have a really good time, and you could too.
anyway, the umbilical made a big difference with my dog, I hope you try it, and find that it helps you, too. good luck.

I also tried the command "come". But my heidi doesn't listen at all she totally ignores me.But the word Hussle she listens to as i walk away.Brads methods are great!I am still trying to trust her off leash in our park close to home I look around first to see if any other dogs are in the area,as I know Heidi will just run over to them, she just wants to play at 18mths a pup still.I practice the sit, stay command also, and use the method going around the goalie posts with her on umbilical, she does follow wonderfully.I walk fast with her on this lesson, since i am a senior and can't run like other young folks, asthma prevents this also.
I want to get her well trained before winter sets in ,this is my goal now.Love the little video shots -it gives me a boost when i don't feel up to the trainings with heidi.

We got Heidi when she was only 6 weeks old,of course we didn't know she should have stayed with her mummy 2 more weeks no one told us that!there was a litter of 7pups when we purchased her from a private home.
She's never been allowed upstairs as i don't believe in letting dogs into the bedroom, she knows her place from day 1.Yesterday we took her to the lake park on leash, she was like a kid in a candy shop, wanted to sniff all the different smells, but I was dissapointed with her,she pulled like a mad thing.so i practiced weaving in and out of the trees with her to calm her down a bit.She would have run like a race horse if i let her off leash at that time.
Perhaps your neighbor needs a hint, type out some instructions and leave it in her mail box with Brads website on there!

i do the arms out and crouching and it works wonders when we are at the dog park, and he knows we're going to keep walking after. but when it's time to go inside into the house or anything like that he knows not to come because he wants to keep smelling or chasing the rabbits.
