Well first I would like to say
THANK YOU to Brad and Scott. Brad for having this site and sharing his training techniques. And to Scott for keeping it running and also taking the time to help me with any problem I may have. Like trying to download Brad's book
It is nice to come on here and realize that there are others out there having the same problems that we are. I can ask questions and get feedback. And what can I say about the support you guys can give as well. There are a great group of you out there.
Well I just thought that I would share where I am at with our dogs. We have a 6 year old Sheperd and a 2 year old Golden. Mya had some previous training before we had gotten her at 9 months plus my husband had taken her threw training again. Bailey hadn't had any. We had gotten her at 9 weeks.
So
Before Brad.........We had two dogs that would run past you on the stairs and going out the door. Their commands really weren't to bad, but yes I found that i had to repeat myself 2-3x's. They would stay on the rug if wet and I would catch them sneaking off. WALKING!! Well I'm ashamed to say this

But I didn't enjoy our walks at all. I found myself not wanting to go with my husband and daughter and if I did I wouldn't have control of the leash. Or I would ask if we could go without the dogs. Mya would bark foolishly at other dogs then get Bailey going. And Bailey well she pulled loved to play tug of war with the leash and if Mya was beside her she would be jumping all over her and grabing her leash. Just not a pleasent walk at all. Trusting them out front off leash. Mya we could. Bailey NO WAY she was gone.
I have been at this I guess maybe a little over 4 weeks.
Sooo
After Brad..................... I can now walk up the stairs ahead of them. Going out the door....What a big difference. I find if they need to go out when i go to the door they will back up and let me go out first. Commands well they will both sit on the snap when asked once, well if I can do the snap. Sometimes I can do and other times I can't

Staying on the rug has most deffently gotten better...no more sneaking off. Our walks well I have to say I'm enjoying them so much more. I will even go by myself now with the two of them. Bailey isn't pulling and leaves the leash alone. But I have yet to come across another dog being walked so I'm still not sure where I'm at with that. I have even had Bailey off leash to out front and she has done well.
With me just getting in from a walk I just wanted to sit down and share this with you guys. I'm proud of my two girls. And Brad has made realize what potential these two really have and the bond I have established with them too. If someone had of told me this is where I would be 5 weeks ago I would have laughed at them.
