This thread discusses the Content article: Getting your dog to Sit is a Snap!!!

does anyone have a suggestion on what you can do if you can't snap your fingers or if your snap just isn't loud enough or consistant?

I started clapping my hands once, cause when it's cold out in the winter I don't enjoy taking my gloves off to try and snap. Believe me though, the snap can be very soft...this is a dog who I swear can hear my eyelids open in the morning!! And she's in the living room at the other end of the house!!

My dogs also sit when I use the hand signal for sit they taught us in obedience class, it is similar to making a letter "J" with your hand. They also sit whenever I point to the ground.
