The good news is, I have a hubby who loves me enough to see how important it is to me that we go... I showed him what I posted (not as blackmail, he actually asked me) so now he says he's determined to find a way there... we shall see what happens.

I'm really disappointed that I can't make it to the Toronto seminar. I have crunched the numbers over and over trying to make it work, but they just won't. By the time I factor in the cost of the ticket, train, a hotel stay, and a couple meals,... . It's too bad, I was really looking forward to it. I'm hoping to travel to Alberta later in the spring, so maybe Brad will have something going on then.

I hope everyone who's able to go has a great time, and that they'll spare a thought for me, sitting home feeling sorry for myself!!

Believe me everyone, I feel your pain as well. I am in the same boat where I really don't have an extra $200 laying around for hubby and I both to go so we decided that I would go on my own and come home with lots of notes. We were actually just talking about this earlier how if you could have more people attend but sell the tickets for $50 each, they would probably sell a lot faster.

I am with mel in that if you guys want to meet to go over what we learned, I am in as well. I would totally be up for the play dates and training sessions (umbilicle walks or whatever) as well. We could even do a loop around the Arboretum on a nice day, that's a great park.

I forgot to mention as well but I heard back from one of the radio stations and they are not able to mention it on the air because it wouldnot be fair to their paying customers for them to mention this one for free. So, I guess it is left to us to get the word out.

I think it would be great to get together to go over notes. I have a feeling its going to be 4 hours of non stop information, I can write pretty quick, but I am sure there will be things I will miss!!!
At least this way we can all meet too! (I feel like I know everyone's dogs here and not so much the people! ^^)

I would have to agree with Beaglemum on the price of the tickets, I think alot of people pre-registered and then where caught off guard by the price. I go to many seminars for work, and the ticket price is fair considering the hotel it will be at and all the planning/coordinating involved. I have had posters but up at Lowe Martin, Cognos and the Court House as well, so here's hoping people are interested.

I would love to know if there is any way the tv. network could do a scrolling thing about the seminars (similar to the ones that scroll for weather warnings and stuff on local chanels).
Maybe that would get people logging onto the website and get the information!

All things considered, I think we are doing well with ticket sold considering we are simply doing word of mouth.
Beaglemum... did you hear back from any emails you sent? I am still brainstorming more ways to get the information out there.. I start (yes.. lets all gasp together LOL) obedience training at Petsmart next monday, so I going to put the bug in their ears about the seminar too!!

I would be up for training sessions too.. constructive critism is the best way to learn. Since you cant watch yourself, others may pick up on things I may be doing wrong!!

Cancel petsmart... its not worth the $120... trust me.. you will be undoing everything you learn from Brad by going to them...

Melaniec, I have one heard from 1 of the radio stations I sent an e-mail to.

I wish I had known for sure that they were coming to Ottawa because we can get great deals at our preferred hotels through my work for both conference rooms and for guest rooms.

Oh, and I just wanted to say that I did training through "where you are going" and it wa sbad and actually what caused a lot of the issues I am dealing with. The trainer I had was less than well informed. I am planning to enroll Spencer in to Advanced II OB soon but it will not be there, we have a great place not too far from me. They may be treat trainers but I am sure that I can adjust.

I knoooooooooow.. but the main motivation I had wasnt for the training.. but more for the socializing.
Nitro has a tendency to be a little ... well... coo coo around other dogs, so I was hoping to more teach him manners then the acutal skills they will teach...

I know.. I am ashamed I have signed up... but it seemed like the best option since off leash parks are always a negative for us. Since I can;t let him off leash yet, other dogs torment him since he is on leash and he gets frustrated, then angry.. and the off leash park we have is too icy right now.. I hate winter!

I am using Brad;s methods and have seen a complete 180 in Nitro at home and on walks, and overall he is doing much much better.. so torn! so torn!!!

I bought tickets to the Edmonton Seminar! Can't wait! I am going with my friend. we are driving 6 hrs to get there! I want to enter my friend's Maltese, her dog is very possesive and snaps and chases after the cats if they go by the couch. I told my friend not to let her up on the couch and stop babying her, She is not doing that anymore now!!

Brad are you going to do autographs at the end of the seminar and pictures? oh yeah one more thing are you going to be bringing your book to sell?

Melaniec: I had signed up with them once and changed my mind and they gave me my money back. If you want, send me a PM and I will send you the info about the trainer I know of. Like Scott said, you are not going to get what you are looking for at that training.

I also know of an indoor dog social that happens monthly, I can send you that info too.
