Is there anyone in the Whitby area that has another pup that would like a playmate? We have a 10 month old boxer.

I live in whitby, but my dogs are almost 3 years old. Have you ever considered going to Harmoney Creek dog park in Oshawa. That way your pup can meet all kinds of dogs and have lots of friends. Just becareful, because there is a group that shows up in the afternoon that is totally afraid of letting the dogs mix. They are the ones that pick the dogs up if they are afraid of another dog and have all the knowledge in the world of dog behaviour(sarcasm).

I don't care if your dogs are older; as long as they are okay with a puppy. He's a really good dog, but he gets excited when other dogs are around, and an older dog probably wouldn't like him much. I figure the more I can get him used to other dogmates the better he'll be, and it eventually won't be such a big deal for him.

Don't worry, my black lab is quite hyper and usually annoys other dogs because of his exuberance. My chocolate lab is a little less hyper, between the 2 it can be mayhem. But they are good guys. We can set something up soon!

Hi Y'all:

We're moving to Oshawa in June. Glad to know there are dog parks there (Harmony Creek - I'll have to visit it)!

Cheers,
Lee

I have a cocker spaniel that needs more doggy friends. She has worked with Brad when he was in Toronto but I admit I have slacked. We just finished having a litter of 5 puppies and she is scheduled for her spay on July 1st. She isn't always the best around other dogs but it is hard to let her say Hi when on a walk. We have no parks here in Bowmanville. I'd love if someone would give us a chance to help our dog through her socialization issues. Please write me back, I work days but am free most evenings and weekends.

Thanks
Lisa

Visited Harmony Valley d.p. earlier this week. It's big and beautiful (could do without the mosquitos though lol.. ), but didn't find any 'common' areas for dogs to play, just the trails. Is the park just all trails? I like a park idea, where you can sit and watch the dogs play. Jessie's starting to go through doggy withdrawal lol...

Any dog parks in Whitby? We're in the Thornton/Rossland area, so we're right on the Whitby/Oshawa border. Cheers!
