Okay so, the first, official Dog House playdate was a success. For the last three days I have been talking to regular clients and just people calling for info about the playdate, and, get this; I had no idea sooo many people have bad experiences at the dog parks. I have only had positive feedback for a regular playdate. So, for now, I'm thinking I can commit to a "doggie social" once a month.
Dukesdad, I just wanted to say that, that would be soo awesome if you made the drive up, it would be good to meet you and your dog(s?)
The next social will be on July 13th or 27th, which ever suits the majority.

Unfortunately I won\\\'t be able to attend.
Went back to work today and my personal time is going to be extremely limited.
There\\\'s talk I\\\'ll be making regular trips to the East Coast.
On the up side, Duke\\\'s starting to get a few Adult brains, and things should be fine when I\\\'m not here for a few days. Though today when I was gone he acted up a bit, but my wife dealt with him quite well. He went in his crate on his own and stayed there for 20 minutes before he came slinking back.
I do appreciate the invitation though.

The 12th is our yard sale (Keymo should be "interesting" that day) and the 27th is the last day of our holidays.

This is Angele who has the privelage of being Charlot and Belle's mom. I want to apologize for the bringing the dogs to the first social. I never did read the post where it indicated un-neutered males should not come.

But that is my worry about going to the dog park with my male dog, both dogs are un-neutured because we are breeding them and we already have 2 reservations for puppies so we are responsible breeders having had their hips and eyes checked and we respect the breeders code of ethics.

All to say that I really do enjoy socializing them with other dogs, I did go to Conroy pit July 1st (it's been 3 months since I've been) I was very nervous because you never know how neutured males will react to un-neutured males.

I would rather set up a play date with someone who has dog(s) which do not have issues with un-neutured males. We also show our dogs so that is another reason I don't want anything to happen to them but my main concern is I don't want them experiencing an agressive attact. I've talked to many owners who have behavioural issues with their dogs after agressive attacks.

So if anyone is up to a play date that would be great. Has anyone been to WAGS Cafe, it's a great place to go for both dogs and their owners.

wish i could make it up.. Maybe i will have to go visit my aunt up in ottawa some weekend and make it out for one of these eventually. Hate living in these small towns. lol.

Looks like Doggie Social will be July 27th. Then the following weekend will be the Civic Holiday weekend. (yaye! for some, I guess )
A good end to the beginning of the first work week after holidays; you're definately not alone in that.

I will have to mark that on my calendar and hopefully I can make it with my two.
