pyrethrin..very bad for cats!! Ok for dogs though. I had a friend use a flea stuff for dogs on her cat, found out after that pyrethrin very toxic to cats and that\'s what dog flea sprays usually have. Lucky for her I was home and gave her cat a bath and managed to wash all the flea stuff off him.

Oh and be careful about using essential oils on animals too, some that are fine for us are toxic to them. I think lavender oil is toxic to cats. They metabolize them differently and the oils are absorbed into the skin.

My dad takes chlorophyll pills during spring/summer and the mosquitoes dont touch him. (my mom and I dont usually get bitten naturally) If he doesn't take the pills he gets eaten alive.

I'm not sure what natural stuff would have it in, but i think parsley has high amounts??

I haven't tried it but theres this stuff [Crocodile for Pets & People lotion] which is supposed to be really good, even for Black Flies
