At Bruce Pit, if we were all together, people wouldn't care if there were dogs on leash. We stick together as a pack. We go in as a group and people would see that.Frankly, I've seen dogs there with muzzles on and or leashes.
No biggee. I know the dogs are being trained and it's a great environment for the dogs.
Once I saw a dog on leash with a muzzle and I can't count how many times I heard the owner say "leave it" every time the dog started to growl.
Hey - if that's what it takes to teach your dog - fine, whatever, way to go for TRAINING !
There is one area I'm thinking of, that is away from the main paths, nice and grassy and open, where it could be nice to have our dogs socialize. Yes, it's in an off leash area , but I rarely see anyone way off in that area.
There are as well paths where your dog must be leashed, so we could all leash up and walk around there as well.
BOY - would the dogs ever be tiered

it takes us about 45 minutes to walk the trail at a decent speed.
My only other suggestion would be to get there EARLY in the morning. Like at 7:30. There are better dog owners there at that time of day, especially on a weekend.
ps- letting Cocoa be the first one in the backyard at The Dog House was actually my hubbie's idea. Gotta give him credit. He wonders where the other men are though
