Sorry to chime in so late on this but we have the same problem with our dog. I like the suggestions but the problem is if he has a toy, he won't come anywhere near us. I.e. we would not be able to pull up, etc. If I run in the opposite direction he drops his toy and comes to me. Any suggestions on something else I could try?
