Since being there the last time Cocoa has made a new friend! We were at the cottage for the July 1st weekend and a cousin brought his male husky ( neutered) and they got along just fine! I am too nervous to let her go around the smaller dogs but I am thinking she will do better. we walked off leash and she behaved perfectly!! She even came when I called her when she took off after a cat!! She is smart that one! I will mark it on my calendar and hopefully I can make it!! Thanks for the invite!! It is located on Maitland just by the Queensway turnoff headed north. If you google it you will find exactly where it is. Anne, the owner, sets this up and it is a lot of fun to see like minded people who discipline their dogs the same enjoy some time together. Last time I think we started around 9:30 am? Casselman has a "mini dog park" thing that we do every Saturday and Sunday mornings (we all meet at a closed off ball park for an hour) but I would like to take Sasha to something different. Angele, if you read this post, you're ALWAYS welcome back. Everyone (as far as I remember) loved meeting Charlot and Belle that one time last winter. And as far as I know, all the dogs are neutered - we're usually between 8-10 dogs, though lately with everyone on vacation, we've had fewer. We've never taken her to the dog parks in Ottawa (we just never got around to it before we moved out of town) but I like the idea of having a Social... especially with folks who are like minded in their training beliefs. Unfortunately, we'll be away on the 27th (coming back from our own vacation) but I would love to be informed of the next one.
