I would love to go!!! My dog will be on leash though as she is only 4 months and does not always come back However, I live in Orleans and do not have a vehicle....maybe I could book the pet taxi...I'll have to see.....have you guys ever held a doggie social in the east end? Or is everyone pretty much from the west end of town???

Her yard is fenced so all the dogs can run and BURN UP ENERGY

Hey - have FAITH in your dog ! They tend to act MUCH better around other dogs that are behaving well for their owners.
Anne from the Dog House runs a "taxi" service if I'm thinking straight as well.

I am also on the wagon of faith. You'd be surprised. I also have faith in the park itself. I have to say in all honesty, I personally, have never had a bad experience with other dogs in the Pit. In those days, it may have been my own dog being the complicated behavior toward other dogs, but nothing that was unhealthy. (humping, right! )
iWe could always arrange something, my only concern is that I would have like 4-5 dogs with me. The only other service I know of is, Petsgotaxi.
I think off leash would be very good, however, I think whatever is comfortable is best.

I will be on my way home from Ohio so it will be impossible for me to make it..good news is that tonight we met up with Abbysmom and we had Coco and Abby walking together.

I wish I could make it and hope to at least visit with Anne before we go.

I didn't get your email...I have had a hard time lately getting myself up and going...saving my energy for errands and there's been a lot lately. ( with this weather my fibro is acting up a lot) I've actually driven by a couple of times and thought of just dropping in for a minute but I didn't want to just drop in. I am silly I know.. I promise to see you before I go. I'll bring Coco if that's ok...by the way we had a really good walk..short because of mosquitoes, with Abby and Marion.

If yes, where are we meeting, what time and who's going?

I'd like to know too! haha I am now realizing that I am going to have this little dog(forget what it is now), Fudgit the chocolate lab and my two guys. Very fun.
Earlier, I was just putting it out there if we wanted to go for a group walk just down a path or do we want to go to a dog park and let the pooches be really free and of course there is always just hanging out at The Dog House. I'm good with either, however, I'm thinking I would love to go to the Pit for some off leash fun! We could also do it in two parts; we all meet at The Dog House spend a little under an hour there and then we can all head out to the Pit and then just desperse from there.

The ONLY thing about the Pit on a weekend, is GET THERE EARLY.
Like arrive by 08:30 hrs 9 at the latest !
We'd be there for 1-2 hours with our group easy, and frankly the people who really care about proper dog socialization and exercise are there early.
The later the day gets, the weirder the people get.

We could all meet the way Brad did with us in Ottawa !
We'd meet at at set time - in one corner of the parking lot, away from the entrance. and at a set time - we start walking into the park with whomever is there.

We could always meet the The Dog House, then go for a walk around there after the dogs have played for a bit.
Maybe we should take a vote ?
Make a new post regarding this sunday in Ottawa and have everyone vote by end of day friday (so that we can all make plans)
