If any of you have been to this park, you know it's a busy one and rather naked when it comes to any amenities but grass (and being totally fenced which is why it's so great). Someone who works for parks was there the other night and mentioned that they would be more likely to install things like benches, picnic tables, water/fountains if they got requests. She suggested calling 311 and making the request (that is how they got the garbage cans apparently). When they get enough requests then they put it to the powers that be.

I"ve already called and they took my comments and am hoping to encourage others to call. They need to know it's the park on the corner of 10 St & 32 Ave. NW and that's about it. Fingers crossed they will do a bit to the park to make it a bit more friendly to the users.

JeanJean - did I meet you that night I was there with Katz (and her german pinscher, Dexter) and Doli (with husband and their shiba, Akihiro)?

I'll definitely have to put some requests in - Bobbie and I love that park... even if we don't get out there too often!
