Here are the two big questions.

When is a good time to meet?

And which park would be the most convenient?

Here are a few to choose from:

Morningside Park
Colonel Danforth park
Thompson Park
East Poing Park
U of T Campus off old Kingston Rd.

I'm on disability, so I don't work. almost anytime you suggest is okay for me. and, since I know where it is, roughly, I would say Thompson. I live at Markham and Kingston, however-where is the Morningside Park, and how to get there on TTC, please?
looking forward to it.

I live in downtown Toronto. Please provide location (intersection) and I will drive there.

Guardian goes to a class on Thursdays and Lorelei goes to one on Tuesday.

Other days are fine

Morningside Park - On Morningside ave just south of Ellesmere rd. The 116 bus runs on Morningside and one of them stops across from the park entrance. You can get on the 116 from Markham and Eglinton.

Thompson Park is on Brimley north of Lawrence. I normally park in the lot that is north of Britwell Ave. There is a soccer field and a baseball diamond nearby. On mapquest aerial map you will see what I am talking about. I am not sure of the bus route though.

I am normally at Thompson park on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, between 1:30 and 3 since my schedule moves around a bit.

which park do you think is safer? I'll go with either of your choices, but meeting you on a Sat or Sun is not a problem. and GuardianPeggy, I think it would be great if you could come, too. we could have a real adventure. thanks Brad, for this oppurtunity to meet and make new friends.

I don't really know which one would be safer. Are you concerned about anything in particular?

If your dogs have a weak recall then you could have problems as the parks are very big with lots of places to hide and get lost in. I know there have been deer, groundhogs, raccoons, foxes in the parks so if your dog catches a scent and runs with it you could have issues.

I haven't had any problems with people or dogs at any of those parks. Most people keep their distance and I don't see many people with dogs.

I don't think that I'd have a problem with them not coming back. they never let me out of their sight. but I was wondering about whether or not any of the parks you mentioned was fenced. I know that those are fairly busy streets. one thing I have never been able to stop my dogs from doing is running out to other dogs. if there was one across the street, and they saw it, they'd most likely be gone. other than that, no worries.

I will be tying a very long leash to Guardian as he tends to like running in to the middle of the road.

it's supposed to rain all weekind, at least that's what I saw most recently on the Weather Network. however, I still want to try to make this play date. shall we try for Sat or Sun? Thompson Park is fine for me. and I'm really looking forward to meeting you 2 and your dogs.
