My mom lives on Round Lake, Killaloe, which is about 30 minutes from Pembroke. I try to go up every weekend in the Summer since Nitro loves to swim, and they are right on the lake! If you organise play time! Let me know as well!

We will have to plan that for sure, I have wanted to take Spencer & Sydney swimming for a long time.

I wish i could go to the ottawa seminar.. but im working that weekend and im saving money to get my new puppy. I would have loved to go to get info so i can get a good start with my pup. now i just wish i lived in ottawa so i could be a part of the play dates! unfortunately i looked on the meetup.com website and there is nothing for my area When i get my pup he will have lots of socialization with friends and relatives dogs, but i wish i could meet with more dog lovers and so my pup could meet other dogs.. oh well, maybe next time ill be able to come.. but a totally un re-lated question, i read that no dogs will be able to come because of winterlude, when does winterlude actually start and when is it ending? I really want to go this year, i missed it the last 2 years

Good luck with your new puppy! You should get Brad's book, to get the information on how to start training your puppy right, from day one!

As for Winterlude, it started on Friday February 1/2008 and ends February 17/2008. You can check out events listing at www.winterlude.ca!

Thanks for the info, i have downloaded the first 2 free chapters and that just made me want to get the book even more! Unfortunately i have to wait until at least friday when i get paid to be able to. lol. i hate waiting but even reading the first 2 chapters of the book has me very interested and wanting more. I just wish it was available hard copy so i could snuggle up and read it, but thats ok!

If you purchase the book, try copying it to a disc, then take the disc in to be printed. Or print it from your computer. Lots of paper though - maybe a chapter at a time.

I just got registered for the Ottawa seminar. I was to attend the Toronto seminar but I was out of town and my flight was delayed so I missed a great deal of it. I was there for 2 hours so it will be interesting to see how the Ottawa seminar will be without any dogs there for Brad to demonstrate with. He did some great teaching during the bit I saw in Toronto using the volunteer dogs. Really, he's a fasinating person to listen to.

That's great. I was wondering the same thing as well. Everyone is talking about how great Brad is with the actual dogs but we are not going to be able to see that part. I am sure it will still be great.
