Hey Brad, Excellent Interview !! It was upbeat and INFORMATIVE !! You trully have a fan in me !! Keep up the great job !! My family and I are definitly benefiting with all your insight and Neiko is becoming a great family pet !!
Thanks so much Scott for putting that up for us. It was a great interview! I especially like the part where he tells the guy to pet his co-worker on the chest.
There's 3 days left and I'm gonna try to find a Starbucks downtown amongst the many Tim Horton's we have.... though I'm warning you, if I don't find Starbucks, it may be Second Cup but they're good too.
My husband & I are attending as well. Can't wait ! We have a 10.5mnth old male Samoyed. He's tries our patience at times and some days we wonder WHY we ever thought of getting a dog! Then I have a small, but great success like last night - and my arms go straight up in the air "YES" I AM pack leader!!!! (I made Keymo go from a sit, to lay down to stay while I backed away 15 feet. All the time with his toy "of the moment" in my hand. I placed it on the floor where I was then walked back to him. He lay there the WHOLE time! I said "Good boy - go get it" and he ran for the toy & brought it back to me. Later he started jumping on my and biting on my hand so we started ALL OVER AGAIN. But I wasn't discouraged - I knew it worked once, it'll work again.
Keymo has never had any real training except from us and I think we've done a pretty good job considering. With shows like Brad's, we watch, try and the dog & us ALL LEARN together.
The one thing we haven't figured out how to teach him is "drop it". He'll eventually let me get a toy from him, but God help us if he pickes up a piece a garbage on a 4am morning walk. He considers those things like treasure and it is REALLY hard to get them away from him.
I'm actually hoping the show isn't a sell out - more attention and time for all of us !BOY - do I sound like a dog or what?
Actually, it's only a 2 hour difference so I think he will be ok.
The worse was when I travelled there for work one time and had to be up at 4:00am Ottawa time to get my taxi and 4:30am to be at the airport for a 6:00am flight. Now when I got there, I worked until 6:00pm Calgary time and then hyad to go out for dinner woth co-workers and didn't get to the hotel until 11:00pm. So, that was from 2:30am Calgary time to 12:00pm before getting to bed, that was a long day.
I assume Brad is flying in today so hopefully he will be able to adjust a little before tomorrow.
