Can anyone attend? Posted: 5 Months, 1 Week ago Karma: 10
Can anyone go to Brad's six legs or street safety classes or does he want to assess the dog first?

I know Ella would be a spitfire nut-bar so I didn't go to the ones last weekend. If the dog is going to wreck it for everyone else ... which she would try hard to do ...

I guess for now I thought I'd wait until Pami sees what I'm dealing with, but I really want to get involved in these things and more.

I can't really speak for Brad, but if I were a betting man, he'd say "Bring it on".
If all dogs were behaved Brad would be out of a job.

On my God. So feel the fear, embarassment and frustration and do it anyways?
OK. No more excuses. Apologies up front if we take away from the other doggies who come out to play and mine is throwing a first class panic attack/temper tantrum.

Your dog won't be the first or lst to throw a temper tantrum. I took Duke the day after the T.O. seminar and was feeling the way you are. Duke hadn't been near another dog in 3 months.
Turned out great. Raise your expectations.
You'll be glad you did.

Off topic, but OMG does that doggy ever look like my Guardian!

If it reassures you any, Guardian is probably just as bad if not worse. We went to the SSTS and it was a blast. Guardian had a hard time at first, but in the end I walked away with a nicer dog. Guardian is incredibly social- so much that his lack of manners make it difficult for others. He thinks everyone wants to be his friend. He is the type of dog that will jump on people and lick them to death! Oh and other dogs he goes nuts chasing them! None the less I have had a lot of trouble with him especially around other dogs (he would literally drag me across to the park to see the other dogs). He is a lover of life, but seriously lacks manners.

So when I went to the outdoor seminar i thought I was in for the pulling of my life! I thought he would get all tangled up and drag me along! Turns out I learned to control him and take a proper walk with him. My mom and I have seen improvements in him- he now walks on one side and knows some basic manners. We are still working on impulse control and pulling though. He still pulls me when he sees other dogs. I love him now.

Don't worry about it, just go, you'll be glad you went!! I was a bit worried about Bayley being a twit and she was a bit in the beginning but it didn't last long. I wasn't sure how she'd react in the city being a country dog but she did really well.

hehehe - that is too funny, i have your dog in a lab version, if we get a date together in brampton that you're able to make it it'll be fun to watch them play

Scout6, good choice, just go - why be embarassed if your dog is misbehaving? you're at a class to help with that exact problem.
