Hello!
My name is Amanda. I have 3 babies total and one on the way! I have a 2 year old Boxer named Roxie, (actually her b-day is the first of July so happy birthday), and two cats named Missy and Diesel.
I am in the military in Trenton, Ontario, am 23 years old and due to some rough times lately, (broken engagment), my babies are my lives and have helped me in so many ways to pick up the pieces it is unreal. I have the best dog in the world and I am excited to soon be adopting a baby english bulldog once he turns 11weeks to be her friend, (as it turns out the cats don't like to play with Roxie as much as she hopes).
I have taught Roxie all on my own to sit, stay, heel, and lie down not only through verbal commands but a series of hand signals as well.
This is wear my expertise of training ends so I am hoping this site can help me out further!
Hope to see you around!
Amanda

Hi everyone! My name is Diana Hanson and I have recently retired after 20 yrs of military service. I live in Cold Lake Alberta and have 3 furbutts! I have a 12yr old bordercollieXlab and 2 Yorkies- 9mths and 6mths. I enjoy them so much but I am hoping to learn some new techniques on training. Especially dealing with barking and lack of confidence. The Yorkies are still babies and have much training ahead of them! I just learned about Brad and his training and really wish we had trainers here in Cold Lake. I am looking forward to learning alot from this site!

Hello,
I got Henry 2 years ago when he was 3.5 years old. He was used to having two other dogs in the household. I took him to obedience classes when I first got him so we could adjust to each other. He has become a wonderful addition to the family.

Hello, I have two dogs and two cats. My Alaskan Malamute is the most well behaved, good natured dog BUT the shih tzu that's another story. Cute little "devil" but such a pain in the butt. He tries to rulle the house the cats the hubby and the malamute in that order. Such a small dog with such a big attitude. I'm going to try the umbilical and keeping off the furniture on this little bully.

Hi All: I live about 10 minutes east of Amanda (myhobbitfeet) in Belleville, Ontario My husband Kevin and I have a 2 yr old Shih-Poo named Nina. Since we've gotten Nina, she has certainly brightend up our household! Not unlike many of you, Nina also responds VERY well to hand signals and body language instead of verbal commands. She does the basics like "sit", "stay", "down" etc, but she has also learned a few tricks such as "dance", "gimme 5" and the ever popular "roll-over". Not knowing the meaning of her name, we started calling her the "little girl". By coincidence, that's what her name means...so Nina's very well named. Anyway, Amanda, please feel free to post again or reply to this message. Nina needs some "doggy" friends! Thanks.. Sheila

Hi all. I am from Central Alberta and we have - a 3 year old beagle, 12 year old boxer-pitbull, 2 cats and a bearded dragon!
Our big guy is an absolute perfect dog. He listens well, walks well, knows many, many commands, etc. Other than the issues that come with age, he's got the perfect temperment. Our beagle, well she's just far too smart for her own good. The first year we had her, I swore I'd never get another hound again. Now I'd have a whole housefull! We've conquered all of her big issues. She's 10x the dog we ever expected her to be. Still a few kinks to work out, but she's by far the best furkid I've ever had. The most comical, too!
Hopefully I can share some of my knowledge and gain some tips on working on the last few issues we have with our little one!

Hi there! I'm Diane! I live in downtown Toronto with my fiance and have 2 great dogs. We adopted Diesel, a hound mix (I think??) from the Humane Society 2 years ago when she was 4 months old, and she definitely had some issues! We've worked through many of them, and she's turned out to be a real gem. But, we definitely still have some work to do, and I love the info I'm getting from this site.
We also have a 4 month old lab basset mix who is also a rescue. We got him when our 12 year old shepherd mix died, and wanted to get another friend for Diesel. He is a sweet puppy, and I am looking forward to training him to be a great dog!
This is my first time owning dogs - we weren't allowed to have pets as a kid and now I know what I was missing. I can't believe how fun and rewarding they are, but as a great side benefit, how many great dog owners that you meet as a result! Yes they're work, but worth every minute!
Looking forward to chatting with you.

Hey! My name is Jessica and I live with my parents in Belleville, Ontario. We have a year old Westie pup named McDuff. Technically I purchased him from a groomers that has since gone out of business because something made me stop in there that day, I did not like the conditions of the place at all. Being the soft hearted animal lover I am, he came home with me. I found his sister in a worse condition (flea infested) but could not take her at that time due to a tough financial situation. He was going on 7 weeks when we got him, and has seperation anxiety and I think being seperated from mom at such a young age had something to do it.
He's become my little barn dog, and he's been around the horses since day 1. Its a funny sight seeing him trying to get my horse to play with him. 20lbs vs 1200lbs he'll bark and run around trying to get my horse Riley to play, and Riley will walk or trot to chase him. He knows not to try it with any other horse though, he won't get close enough to them.
I'm hoping to learn a lot from this site since McDuff is lacking in training. He listenes to me less each day, but he's so willing to learn. He's had some close calls recently, and I don't want to loose the little guy. Next pay cheque I'm ordering Brad's E-Book and I'm very egar to learn. My parents really spoil McDuff, and in the fall I'm leaving for college for Veterinary Technology, so there needs to be control of this dog.
Look forward to chatting with you!

Hi! My name is Holli and I live on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. I\'m new to the site and thought I would take a few mintues to introduce myself. I am 22 and I\'m an Equine Sports Therapist. I have a beautiful female Rottweiler named Mia. She will be turning 2 years old Sept. 9. She\'s a wonderful dog, and we love her to peices. She\'s very social and full of energy. I also show horses in NRHA shows around the Maritimes, I have a cute 6 acre property so there\'s lots of room for Mia to run and play besides our twice daily walks and whatever other adventures we go on. I\'m looking forward to getting to know everyone and learning lots! Here is my Mia:
