While going through the CET course it became very clear to me that to be able to manage the dogs successfully I needed to have a strong body and a healthy mind. Not only did I have to keep up with my studies, do my homework, maintain my home, hold a job, exercise and work with my dog, but I had to get myself into shape.... Thank Goodness for Brad and 6 Legs to Fitness™. During the CET course, every morning we started our day with a challenging but invigorating workout in the Kelowna hills with our dogs. While we were working on improving our fitness levels, the dogs received more than just a walk in the park. The way 6 Legs to Fitness™ is designed, both the dog and the owner get a full mind, body and soul workout in that both are challenged physically increasing their fitness level, the dogs mind is stimulated more so than a typical romp through the park or ball fetching session, the owner has to manage the dog while executing the exercises properly and the bonding between dog and owner is a huge bonus all while having fun! So it is a natural progression for me to want to teach 6 Legs to Fitness™. What better way for my dog and I to stay in shape and be healthy? Give it a try...I know you'll love it too. My favourite part of training, working and living with my dog is the time that we go out and exercise together. There is something that happens between you and your dog when you can show them that you can move and maintain a level of exercise that gives them a workout too.
When I was younger fitness was a big part of my life; I was an avid swimmer, a cyclist, played basketball, participated in track and field and generally enjoyed being active and the competition of sports. As I got older, I lost touch with that side of my life getting bogged down with work and other personal and life goals.
Once Jake entered the scene I realized how much my fitness level was going to contribute to my success with him. My goal is to get more fit every day until I achieve the level of fitness and physique that I had when I was 18. This is such a fun way to improve and extend your life and your dogs! Come on out and lets have some fun and get healthy at the same time – It IS possible!
