Becoming a Certified Educated Trainer was one of the most challenging things I have ever done. It was also the most rewarding thing I have accomplished. Before I started Brad's C.E.T. course I thought the training I had been doing with my dogs was great. I was quickly brought back to reality when Brad taught me about expectations with your dogs. I recognized the values he was implementing in his training and everything made so much sense. My dog Mocha and I developed an amazing bond that only this training can provide. I'm excited to teach dog owners this amazing training process. I think everyone should have this rewarding relationship with their dog. There is nothing like it!

As a child growing up, I had always loved dogs but never really had control or a real bond and understanding of them.

Years later when I decided to get dogs of my own, I figured that things would be different and thought I would have no problem training them. However, after trying several other training methods, I began to realize that I still had little or no actual control of them. Sure, they would sit or come for a treat, but would they listen when I needed them to? No.

I was starting to think that I would never have the respectful well-trained dog I had always wanted. Then one day, I came across the television show, “At The End of My Leash”. Later that year, I attended one of Brad’s seminars and several Street Safety Training classes. At this point, I finally started to see where I had gone wrong. Brad’s training methods helped me to better understand my dogs needs and to reach my goal of having well trained, respectful dogs.

Now that I am a CET, I am looking forward to living out my dream job of working with dogs and hope to help dog owners of the Kootenays better understand their dogs while creating a lasting bond together.
