I have always loved dogs!!! Even as a child I was fascinated with them. My parents finally gave in and bought my first dog from the SPCA when I was 10 years old.   I knew then that I would always have dogs in my life. As a young adult I aspired to have a career involving dogs, but family & life kept me busy and I didn’t make the time, but I always had a dog.  My husband and I and our two boys lived on acreage for over 17 years, sharing our home with many dogs of different sizes and breeds, each very special in their own way.  But all the dogs I owned had their issues, some more than others! I had taken obedience classes with several of the dogs, but it was always treat training.  There had to be a better way.

I had done some natural horsemanship training with my horses and I knew there must be a more natural way to train dogs.  Everything changed when my son bought me Brad’s book “Unleashed” for Christmas.  I had seen Brad’s show on TV and it had sparked my interest, but now I was reading his book and I couldn’t put it down.  This was it!  It all made sense!  By understanding canine communication, Brad has developed methods that lead to effective training.

I soon discovered that he offered a Certified Trainer Educator course.  This was my chance to finally follow my passion!  I learned so much about my two dogs, Hank, my border collie and Cooper, my boston terrier / pug and I could fit their training into my everyday life.  Brad & Shantel taught me to raise my expectations for my dogs and myself.  We have a responsibility to educate our dogs and ourselves so that we can both reach our true potential. I have an incredible bond with my dogs now, better than I could have ever imagined.  I am looking forward to sharing my knowledge and experiences, so that you too can have this amazing relationship with your dog.

After much consideration and many visits to our local shelter, my wife and I thought we were ready to bring home our first dog together, Jake.  Two days later we considered taking him right back. We needed help desperately, but our first experience working with a trainer gave us nothing more than an unruly dog wearing a choke chain, halti and electronic collar all at once, who would only listen to us for a piece of cheese, maybe!

Months later, we still had no real tools to fix any of Jakes issues. All that changed the day we discovered “At the End of My Leash”. Before long we found ourselves at Brad’s seminar in Toronto, and Jake was chosen to be a dog volunteer. That day Brad showed me for the first time the true potential that Jake had. He taught me to raise my expectations, take responsibility as a dog owner, and focus on building my bond with Jake. I learned that there was another way, a much better way and that Jake could actually be a great dog!

I couldn’t help but wonder how many other dogs were in shelters for the same reasons that Jake had been. How many dogs were being given up on everyday without getting a chance at a better future? From then on I wanted to learn all that I could, and I now know that there is help and hope out there.

I am excited to be able to pay forward all that I have learned, and help those that are looking for real results just as we once were. In life, you truly do get out of it, what you are willing to put into it, be determined about your committment.  You really can have an amazing relationship with your dog - it is completely up to you! Are you ready?

I have always had dogs in my life. Over the years I have done training with my dogs with various methods all that involved treats. I always knew there must be a better way to do this. I wanted to walk my dog without having him on a pinch collar and a pocket full of treats hoping he wouldl listen to me. I knew it could be done; my Grandparents always had dogs off leash that listened and were not given treats...but I did not know how or where to start.

One day I saw Brad's show, At the End of My Leash, and thought "this guy has it right, no treats no hurtful collars for the dogs, and the dogs do everything they are asked every time". I looked up Brad on the Internet to find out more and then saw on his website he had a Hustle Up school that taught people to become CTEs. I knew I had to take this course to become educated in order to help myself and other dog owners to be able to have their dog respect them, listen to them and to create a strong bond.

I am happy to have the opportunity to share my knowledge to teach people that dog training can be fun and rewarding for everyone involved!

I have always had a love for all animals, from my horse Mandy to our family dog Tara or the countless cats that graced our home as a young boy. The feeling of friendship and love that I shared with these wonderful animals is something everyone should experience.

What I didn’t realize was what I had been missing. When we decided to adopt our most recent additions to the household, it came with a lesson to be learned. Not all dogs are the same! Seems simple enough, but it took a rambunctious little Aussie Shepard to teach me this humble lesson. We decided early on to set him up on the right track, so off to dog class we went. Prong collar in hand and treats on my side we went through the hoops set up by the trainer. To some disappointment the training seemed to work, but only when the prong collar was on or my treats were ready to go.

In comes Brad and his no frills, no treats, no masking, just pure results training. I had seen his show quite a bit and liked what I saw. He had the type of bond with dogs that I wanted. I quickly saw what I was missing in my relationship with my dogs and wanted nothing more than to get to that point. As a CTE graduate, I now feel a responsibility to share the knowledge and understanding only this type of training can produce. The bond that I share with my dogs now is like nothing I ever imagined, and it has only just begun!

I love dogs..... But who doesn't!! We all love the dog that walks beside us, waits for us to come home...just gives that unconditional love.

I had the privilege of training with Brad and Shantel. They taught me that there is so much more to dogs than we give them credit for.  That incredible bond with a dog that you see on TV, or in movies, is right at your fingertips if you just put in the time and effort.

I love helping dog owners to understand, motivate and train their dogs in order to create the loving companions they so desire.

When I started with the CTE Course I was looking for something, anything that would bring peace to my house and civility to my dogs.  In so many ways I was at "the end of my leash".

What I found was so much more than I expected.  A lifestyle change and amazing support network in Brad, my instructors and other CTE's.  I was home.

Even though I had each of my dogs over nine years I learned I hadn't created a real bond with either of them.  I was heading back to the basics.

Through personal experience I have witnessed the truly phenomenal transformations that happen when consistently implementing Brad's methods and techniques.  I finally have the tools required to be the leader my dogs require and deserve.

I am so excited to share the knowledge I have gained through my CTE training and personal experiences and to dispel the public of misconceived notations...the first one being "you can't teach a old dog new tricks".
