I am feeling so blessed that Carrie Rottaris, one of your BPCTEs from Hamilton, Ontario, came into my and Katie’s life. Katie is my 2 year old border collie. Since being under Carrie’s care and guidance, I have witnessed and experienced her keen insight into dog behavior, her clear teaching skills and techniques, her ability to problem solve, and her unwavering patience. With all the tools she has provided me, she has made Katie and me a different duo. I can’t begin to tell you how much she has instilled in me the absolute need for me to be Katie’s leader, the time I need to devote to Katie’s exercise and play, and the acceptance I must give to Katie’s unique quirks in order for our lives to be mutually happy. There are so many statements that Carrie has said that have stuck with me and totally changed the way I view my relationship with Katie. Sometimes it’s the smallest gesture or comment that Carrie makes, but it’s always a treasure trove of wisdom. I have always viewed myself as a dog lover, but I was never a dedicated, conscientious and fulfilled dog owner like I am now. Carrie has inspired me beyond words. I can’t thank Carrie enough for all that she does for our class – the varieties of locations she has taken us to for our classes, her invitations to the off-leash hikes that are above and beyond our regular training classes, the camaraderie that all of us have enjoyed thanks to the tone she sets, and for sharing her expertise in such a non-threatening but no-nonsense manner. Carrie is a gift to all of us who graduate from her training classes. She is, quite frankly, the best there is! I thank Carrie from the bottom of my heart. She has literally changed my life and Katie’s too!

I have been taking the Street Safety Training course in the US with my dog Gambit. Our trainer is JR, her dog is Audrey. Audrey is Gambit's sister.
When Gambit was one, he was attack a few times by other dogs and he became very defensive and aggressive. For years, we kept him at home only walking him around the neighborhood. When we saw a dog coming we would turn down another street. Because we were scared of his behavior, we kept him prisoner at home. Sadly, Gambit and Audrey could no longer play together.
After JR completed your BPCTE course. She contacted me and told me she could help Gambit and me. I told her, I want him to experience things. I want him to go to the park with me. I want to be able to take him out and not have him lunge at other dogs. My dream is just to have him walk down the aisle at my wedding and behave. I almost cried when I was telling her all of this. I love my dog. I realized that it was my fault too. I didn't know what to do with him.
The first day of class, I was scared. I was scared to line up with him between other dogs. I was afraid of a dog fight. I didn't want him to get hurt or hurt another dog. JR told me it would be fine. He has improved over the course of the class.
If you asked me 2 months ago, to tie Gambit up while I went into a store to get coffee, I would have said no way. If you asked me can Gambit ride in an elevator, I would say No way. Can Gambit walk nicely into a store? Nope. I could hardly walk him down the street let alone take him anywhere.
Last night, we did things that I never thought I would be able to do with him. We walked around downtown Fullerton. We entered and exited a shop. We went in an elevator and rode it up and down. I got coffee while Gambit was tied up outside the shop. I really wanted to cry. I didn't though because I was so proud of him.
I told JR that I was so thankful for what she had taught us. He is so much better now. We have grown together. He has more respect for me now. JR has changed our lives together. I am thankful for that.
I wanted to thank you too.
I am so happy that Gambit and I can experience life now.
Sincerely,
Jessica F
"We had the worst time trying to find a trainer all we got were excuses that we were located too far away, or Jayda was being aggressive to other dogs because she was a rescue or because she has Jack Russell in her! We were even told to put her down! We wouldnt give up on her like that she had given us so much love in the 7 months we had her since finding her on the side of the road that we knew she deserved a chance thats when I found Kelley's ad on Kijiji and contacted her. She replied to us with no excuses, no negative words, she had a plan to help Jayda and thats what she has done. We are so glad we found her she has given Jayda a new chapter in her short life and we know its only going to get better! I can contact her with any question or concern and she always has a solution for us to use she is understanding and the way she taught us and the dogs left no confusion or doubt in our minds. She has not only changed Jayda's life but our other dog's life and ours we will never be able to thank her enough for coming to us with a plan not an excuse!" Alicia G

Hi there,
I just wanted to give you some feedback on one of the hustle up trainers ; Lori Ann Sibbald.
We adopted our dog Oreo from a rescue foundation in April. Right away we knew we had a long road ahead of us with him. He was chasing cars, running away going after people Etc....
We found Lori Ann , we liked the training because it was one of the only training places that focused being outside and a no treat training. The training was tough for us and the dogs. We learned so much about dog psychology and what were some of our dog triggers. This class was a good stepping stone for us to teach our selves how to handle our dog properly.
With only having our dog for a few months now, we have seen a huge transformation. Lori ann has taught us to be more relaxed pet owners and that has made our whole family very happy.

We had Cat out this past week-end to help us with our 3 Bernese Mountain Dogs. We wanted to pass on our compliments.
She was very professional. In 20 minutes, she made an amazing amount of progress with our dogs. Over the course of the week-end the gains we made with our dogs was incredible.
She was very pleasant to work with and we think she is an excellent ambassador for your company.
It was a pleasure working with her, and we really enjoyed her stay with us.
Thanks for referring her to us. We have a brand new pack !!!!!

Good morning. I just wanted to pass along my appreciation for the work that is done by 'Team Pattison'. In January, my husband and I got Mady, our Old English Sheepdog. She is my first dog. I had watched many episodes of 'At the End of Your Leash' and knew that the more we put into Mady at the beginning (she was 8 weeks old when we got her), the more we would enjoy her and that the better WE were, the more she would enjoy her life with us.
So, I went on Brad Pattison's website and was put in touch with Nikki Gelinas, one of his certified trainers. We had a few private lessons to get us started, then signed up for a full course. Nikki was marvellous! Very clear explanations, held us accountable for working with Mady outside of class and the classes were dynamic and informative. She brought us places here in Ottawa that I would never have thought of as being fun and adventurous for Mady and places where I didn't think Mady could behave well. I loved being wrong!
She celebrated out victories with us and encouraged us when we were struggling. As a very overweight, completely sedentary middle aged woman, I did wonder how I would keep up but Nikki was so positive, so certain that I could do it and I did! Her confidence and her high expectations of us pushed us forward.
Mady is such a delightful dog that we can't go anywhere without her getting compliments. I take as many opportunities as I can to explain WHY she is such a good dog when she is still only 8 months old.
I have lost 30 pounds so far and have more stamina than I have had in a decade. We are no longer a sedentary family. I expected the changes in the dog, was not quite expecting the changes in us and in our overall lifestyle! When people ask me how I have lost weight, I love telling them about the 'Brad Pattison Puppy Training Weightloss Program'! :)
Thank you! Kim W.
Hi Amanda, Just a quick little email to say THANK YOU so much for coming yesterday and your great instruction! I just came back from a walk with Lily and it was wonderful! I didn't have to make one correction, it was so easy and relaxed. She didn't even pull to go to Tiki's!! We went for 3 more walks yesterday, too, and 2 of the 3 were highly successful. It is so nice to use the umbilical cord and be hands-free, I actually could enjoy a cup of coffee this morning while walking and not spill it on myself. And I know Lily is happier, too. She loves going for walks (I think she was smiling!) and now we are actually 'walking' again. She seems much less stressed, which makes me happier, too. Thank you so much!!!! I will highly recommend your services to my friends. Have a nice day, Lisa
Hello, My name is Danielle and a recent/new member to your site. I own 2 mastiff/rotty mix, male & female, 8 mths old from the same litter. I discovered your show on Slice about 2 months ago and started to implement your methods on my pups. For example, umbilical, no noise, hustle, I always walked through them, and paid more attention to their body language (than usual)and started to use Martingale collars with a 6' lead. I never was a treat giver, nor believe in hurtful collars (pinch collars and so forthe). Although I found a Behaviourist only 15 min from my home, upon speaking to her in regards to her methods and how she deals with aggression, she stated "I think Martingale collars are cruel, if necessary I use a pinch collar". I was shocked by that statement and I immediately told her and chose NOT to hire her. First time owner/Diane Holmes responded and offered to come to my Town of Carleton Place (30 min West of Ottawa) for a Personal Session. To say the least, I was flabergasted, excited, and no longer felt that help was unreachable. We immediately did as she requested (no dogs on the furniture although they did only when invited BUT no more now, not left outside for potty time but on a lead with myself or my spouse). When Diane arrived both of us were ready to learn, observe and impliment all she has to teach and show in handling our pups. It was an amazing 2 hours and we both saw an immediate change. In all fairness, I must admit that on purchasing your collar and leash for each pup, I believe this has a play in it. The quality is top dog, and the Martingales I have bought in the pet stores DO NOT compare in the least. We have since kept the pups off the furniture and they rarely try (twice since Sunday), Sniper on walks lets a bark out and lunges when he sees a dog, I immediately correct, stand in front of him, place in a sit position and he stops (wow). Half way through the walk, my spouse and I switch pup and the response is the same. Sniper reacted the same way to seeing a dog and Darryl (my spouse) did the same thing and Sniper calmed and sat. Along our walks, we stop, put them in a sit position, they stay for 5 min now and then we continue the walk. Although I have a harder time because of my physical problems (bad back, knees and arthritic hands), Darryl and I decide to start the walks in 15 min increments until they are better controlled by use and up it til we reach 1 hour walk. MInd you I take them separate during the day for 30 min eachs cause easier with one. Brad, I wanted to let you know how much your show, methods and views on training and behaviour correction has immensely helped and especially your BPCTE Diane Holmes going out of her way to help us. Although we are comitted, Dinae MOST certainly is as well for driving 4 hrs to out home to help. Congratulations to you for doing an exceptional job in preparing your new BPCTEs, the non-hurtful methods you all use and compassion, comittment to dogs. Especially your unbelievable construction of your collars. Forever thankful owners Darryl and Danielle
I would like to send a commendation for your BPCTE Emily Day who has been of very great help to me. I found her to be extremely well informed, competent, caring, fun to work with, well versed in techniques, and willing to go the extra mile to help find things that are of use in dog training. She is a very bright upbeat person whose energy is amazing.I found our course to be very helpful and would recommend her to anybody who needs to find help to train their dog.
Also would mention that I enjoy your tv shows very much.
Please pass this along to Emily...
Yours truly,
Donna W and Roscoe Barrie, Ontario Canada
Best Wishes,
I am emailing you in regards to one of your BPCTE's Bernie Martin from Elmira Ontario.
A little bit of history first. I have a 71/2 yr. old Shih Tzu who for all these years had been treated like a lap dog. No pun intended. Habits and behaviour she had were unacceptable. I started having Bernie for in home training. I was astounded by his professionalism and knowledge in educating and showing me the problems with my dog. Which I admit were created by me, the rest of the family but mainly me. Bernie gave me the tools on how to retrain her. Bernie had sent me a list on Alpha battles. She had a total 30 out of 55 before I started with Bernie. That totally shocked me.
Bernie had said it didn't matter how old a dog is it can be retrained. I didn't believe him. With his time, patience and knowledge I soon realized he was right. I had a lot of ups and downs during this training. At times wanting to give up. Bernie never gave up on me. He gave me confidence so I could achieve this goal. There were many emails to Bernie, a lot of times having to repeat himself. His patience with me has been never ending.
Like I said Bernie came to my home for in home training. I also took his street safety course which I just finished. He is knowledgeable, professional, patient, loves what he does and it shows. He also has made it fun. What I could say about Bernie is endless. All the work with my dog and me, I now have a happier and a more alive dog then ever. I have also started his 6 legs to fitness. Which my dog and I thoroughly enjoy.
How I wish I had someone like Bernie 71/2 yrs. ago but as they say better late than never. So please know which I am sure you already aware of, Bernie is a wonderful asset to your BPCTE team.
