Over the first twenty years of my life my family had owned nine dogs. One was hit by a car, five were given away because of behavioral problems, two were euthanised because of more serious behavioral problems and one was killed by a neighbor. After catching Brad's show “At the End of My Leash” by chance one late sleepless night, I was intrigued; even my dog Coda woke up from her slumber on the “couch” to check out the dogs barking on the show. A few months later I was able to attend one of Brad's seminars and was absolutely amazed at what I saw and heard. Brad's approach to training made so much sense to me; it is real life, day to day living with your dog. What he showed us at the seminar got me thinking about all the dogs that had been in my life and I realized that most of those dogs could have been saved if we would have had this approach to training and living with our dogs many years ago. I'm sure now that the “behavioral problems” we experienced with my childhood pets were all because of a lack of education in regards to the needs of the dog and the responsibilities of the owner towards the dog. |
When I got my American Eskimo, Atticus, it seemed all the rules I had known for training dogs had changed. I have spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours training Atticus, and he is only 4years old! I have trained him using different methods and styles, he's been in agility and Rally-o classes and yet I would always describe him as "well-trained" but "badly behaved." When I got Wolfgang, our Pomeranian, from the shelter I continued down the same treat training path, but whenever we were out, if Wolfgang got loose he was off! No amount of treats could get him to come back. I decided I had to make a change when Vixen, our German Shepherd came along. You just can't have an out of control "badly behaved" 100lb dog.
I sought out Brad and his trainers to learn another way. From day one, I saw true results with all of our dogs. My dogs are now my well-behaved, constant companions, everywhere I go. Our bond is stronger than I had thought was possible.
For basic obedience and creating a happy, balanced, respectful family dog, this is the best method I have found!
I want to work with the animals I am so passionate about, so I decided to train with Brad Pattison and become a CTE. Now I am here to help you with your dog, and get you both onto the path of success!

I’ve always loved dogs, but have done everything but pursue that passion. What a whole new world the CTE course has opened up for me! I thought I had a good relationship with my dog; we’ve done a lot of amazing things together, but in reality, we really lacked that close connection . Through Brad’s teachings my dog and I have developed a closeness I didn’t even know we were missing. I am so excited to share everything I have learned with you and your pooches, and help transform your relationships too. Peace, love, mutts.
