When you are home, expose the dog to different scenes so their brains are being exercised too. Take your dog different places. Downtown, to stores that allow dogs, to the bank, different parks. Get them exposed to different scents, sounds and sights. Find different ways to ask them to sit. My clients are taught 3 different ways to start. Snap, pull up on the leash and the verbal command of “Sit”.
