Water levels vary more during the spring than any other season. When playing fetch in the water, always look down stream to see if your dog can potentially get caught in a snag of tree limbs or other debris. If this danger exists, then move to a safer place that has many clear exits for your dog. Dogs that enjoy fetching stones or rocks… your vet bill down the road will be quite painful.
